Sittercity Review: Will Their Corporate Program Work for Your Business?
SitterCity claims that its Corporate Program will reduce absenteeism and boost employee productivity, but does it work?
Companies like RMS Investments, Fox Entertainment, Children's Healthcare of Atlanta and Avon currently offer such programs and believe that adding Sittercity to their childcare benefits for employees is an excellent idea.
It seems that while today’s companies are looking for new ways to attract and retain the excellent employees that they hire, they need to address childcare issues facing many working parents. Sittercity has allowed those companies to buy memberships for their employees at greatly reduced rates, offer backup childcare and before-and-after school care for children.
The benefits to a large company seem to be substantial. In fact, here are some of the results of added childcare benefits for top companies like these:
*Forty-nine percent of employers claim to have noticed a marked increase in productivity due adding childcare options.
*Two thirds of employers saw a significant improvement in employee turnover.
*Eighty-five percent of companies claimed it also increased their ability to recruit top quality employees.
Why do they say that it works? I works because it gives your employees other options when the only choice before was to call in sick. They can use the program when their children are sick, when school is unexpectedly closed, or when their regular sitter is on vacation.
The results are a little less impressive for smaller companies because many were already able to allow more increased flexibility that many working parents needed. However, with over 10 million single parents currently in the workforce, it can affect workers in almost any size company.
Will Sittercity work for your business? If you have a workforce made of up parents with small children, it probably will.
