Create and Educate with Wood
Do kids wooden toys help to create and educate? There are lots of different types of natural wooden toys nowadays, from the wooden rocking horses to colourful building blocks and then there is the truly educational toy the Abacus, which is many centuries old.
A child's rocking horse certainly helps with imagination, you can hear the child riding off to lands afar as they talk to imaginary people in their idyllic world. They also help with caring and responsibility. They groom the horse and pretend to feed and nurture it, that is certainly caring and shows that they can be responsible for looking after other things, even if it is only a child's rocking horse.
Colourful building blocks on the other hand help the younger child with hand and eye coordination, learning about colours and counting. These blocks, even though they don't look much will also help with the child's imagination, just look at the buildings, towers and vehicles you can build with them nowadays due to the thought that's gone into their design by the manufacturer.
Manufacturers and master wood carvers are now looking at the educational aspects more than ever and will test their products with surveys and hands on testing with kids and parents before releasing them for sale.
There is a lot more to natural wooden toys than meets the eye, they help the child to create and help educate but not only this they help them to communicate. Whether counting together on a wooden abacus or helping each other with a wooden jigsaw, or what about playing together inside the wooden playhouse, it all helps with communication.
