5 Ways to Make Custom Greeting Cards

Custom greeting cards have become very popular of late the big plus is the ability to personalize them with text, artwork and photographs. Everyone loves receiving greeting cards that have been customized; the enjoyment of seeing a family member or a friend's face pictured on the card adds so much value to the overall product. Making custom greeting cards is simple and easy process anyone can do it, all you need to do is follow these 5 easy points and you'll be on your way to success.

1. Hardware, you will need to have access to a computer with graphic editing software like Photoshop. Also, to print out the greeting cards you will need to have a good quality printer, like a Laser Jet printer. The printer prints in high resolution which it will make any custom greeting card look professional.

2. An idea, what do you want to put on the card. This will be dictated by the event, if it's a birthday you may want to have a photo of you holding a birthday cake with a personalized greeting inside.

3. Paper; choose a good quality paper to print the cards out on. Sounds simple but people have been known to create excellent designed cards but are let down by the choice of paper.

4. Photographs, when taking photographs ensure they're taken in full light. There's nothing worse than having a dull photograph on the front of a custom greeting card. It will let down the overall presentation of the card.

5. Design; choose a good quality design for the greeting card. The text that goes on the front and inside of the card is important. The text on the front of the card should be catchy and inside the card the text should be more personalized. Custom greeting cards can be fun so don't be afraid to add some humor into your text and photographs.

At the end of the day custom greeting cards are fun and easy to make and even if you don't have a computer or printer you can make cards the traditional way. All you need is creative mind, paper, photographs, pencils and markers and you can construct your own custom greeting card.
